Hello all,I would like to ask whether it is a good idea to have two graphics cards in my configuration.I currently own a Sapphire Radeon HD 7950 OC and I know that I can Crossfire it with a 7970 but I don't know whether to buy another 7950 or to get a 7970.As far as I'm concerned If they are two 7950 they will have equal load but if there is a 7970 in the build the 7950 becomes a slave.I don't know if this is true so if someone explains it to me I will be very glad!

1) Crossfire does not work well enough and you will face sluttering issues which go only when you turn off CF. This happens in almost 60% of the games you play. That is the reason I have not opted for crossfire besides budget issues. I know that it won't turn out to be good enough and I would face problems in future.

2) You can crossfire with either of the two cards. As far as I know the higher card would loose some of its potential and would come down to the level equal to the lower card. No difference in anything. You should rather buy HD 7950 or none of them.

Hi,as far as I know if I have this sluttering issue I can turn off CF and my idea is that I will leave only the 7970 which is more powerful than the 7950.Is there any sense to do this if either there is the sluttering issue or just the game does not support CF to buy a 7970?

Kindly provide evidence.
SLI works far better than crossfire and you do not face issues with it. Mostly that doubles up FPS.

ATI officially recognizes this and is trying to do something about it.

It's obvious both have their benefits. You really sound like your on the nvidia fan boy train.

I am fan girl of none.
In fact I am sometimes more inclined towards ATI when it comes to cards. I am talking with my experience in the forums and articles.

Nvidia is best when you want to SLI.
ATI is best single GPU configuration.
Intel makes best CPUs out there when it comes to performance and reliability.
