Hi,
Now,I am deciding to upgrade my pc after 7 years from my last upgrade. Below,I am giving you detailed requirement/information as per the directions of the thread.
Also i want to know for how much should i sell my old pc its specs are Intel Pentium 4 3.20 GHz,RAM 512 MB DDR,Hard disk : 80 GB ,MB:ASRock(2006 model of AGP slots).

Approximate Purchase Date:within 3 weeks
Budget Range:$800(40,000+-5000 INR)

System Usage from Most to Least Important:programming, coding, software development, gaming, surfing, watching videos

Are you buying a monitor:No (Already have LED 1080p)

Parts to Upgrade:Motherboard,processor

Do you need to buy OS:No

Preferred Website(s) for Parts:Flipkart, newegg and Amazon .But I prefer buying from a retailer(from the shops).

Location: Delhi,India

Parts Preferences:
Processor: Intel core i7 4770k
MB:ASRock z87 Extreme 4 or 6 (I don't feel their is any major difference btw them from my point of requirement)
Hard disk : I need your advice, as I don't need high storage as i prefer cloud storage mostly but it should have atleast 250 GB. I liked to have SSD but it would disturb my budget
RAM:should be 8GB or above . I need your advice as, I lack some technical knowledge for making the proper combinations or use of slot for better performance.
GPU: Although I am not regular gamer or gaming freak , But i would loved to play some games like BF3 or other FPS games occasionally on high or ultra performance. So if you suggest some please suggest keeping in mind that it can afford to play games like BF4 and Watch dog atleast on high setting with good fps.

Overclocking: Yes

SLI or Crossfire: If applicable, also please explain me its importance too as i have heard about it .

Your Monitor Resolution:1920x1080 1080p
Additional Comments:I think i mentioned this above and it should be quite , but its really don't matter to me as my current pc make a lot noise. So if it make some noise i can ignore .

And Most Importantly, Why Are You Upgrading:As my current pc is completely outdated.

PS:
Sorry for my bad English as English is not my primary language.

Sounds like you could cut back to an i5, this has an 250GB SSD and CPU cooler in it. You would need a 64bit OS to use 8GB of RAM and perhaps a 450-500 Watt PSU.

SLI and Crossfire are connecting 2 graphics cards together to work as one, it is useful to drive multi-displays.

Hope this helps a little.....

First of all thank you for your reply. I really appreciate your responce.
But i would like to say that i will stick to i7 series as their is not a high difference btw i7 and i5 price($79). I had decided my personal budget to be around $300 for processor in this range i can easily get i7 .
Before i pick ssd , i would like to ask that is it really worth to buy ssd over hdd just because it can boot faster (I had seen somewhere that ssd takes 15 sec to boot compare to 22 seconds of hdd) and have fast data transfer rate . Apart from this reason is their any other reason to pick ssd over hdd ?
Also I am deciding not to buy gpu now if the budget crosses the bar .Indeed i would try to save little more pocket money to buy gpu in next 2-3 month . I think i will be able to save around $300 in this period and that is sufficient to buy gpu .
lastly can you please estimate the selling cost of my old pc .
Thanks in advance :)

An SSD speeds up disk speed only, if you get tired of waiting for things to load and save it is the ticket, if time is not an issue get a HD, it's cheaper. They say and SSD is the single upgrade that will speed your system up most overall. To save money just go for a HD then, I would get an SSD and keep your old HD for additional storage, perhaps a small 64GB to load OS and a few programs, use the HD for data.

I am a gamer/web browser, so a i5 works for me fine, no video work or heavy rendering. From what I read here that is where the i7 shines.

Your system is worth what ever you can get for it, sorry I could not give you a value.
