I'm on a tight budget and have two options:the gigabyte gtx 660 OC or the Sapphire hd 7850 2GB which ever i'm gonna get I will overclock it.
I do gaming in 1920X1080 and play demanding titles.
to sum up, which one, overclocked will give me the best performance?

660 would be a better option at that price.

even overclocked?iv'e been told that OC'd the 7850 performs better.

I think you might be thinking of the 7870, as that is actually more of a direct competitor to the 660.

7870 is more powerful at stock settings than a 660, same when OC'd. 7870's cost a little bit more.

No, I was talking about 7850,if you wanna see who told me that the 7850 oc'ed will top the 660 go here:http://www.tomshardware.com/answers/id-1702659/bottlene...
by the way, an hd 7870 sometimes even matches a 660 ti in benchmarks.

Reading some other sites/reviews, it looks like you can get a lot out of a 7850 when overclocked. 7850 scales better when overclocked, due to the wider memory bus: 256 bit vs 192 bit.

I have the OC version of the Sapphire 7850 2 GB, and have yet to try overclocking it further. I am going to try OC'ing it tonight.

I stand corrected. Go for the 7850.
