I have win 7 and the above hard drive.
when I first installed it it was getting a win7 score of 7.4 and since a reformat I now get 6.9 and it is a bit slower starting up and shutting down. i think i have most up-to date drivers.

has anyone had this ?

SSD drives do some background work to keep them selves clean(free blocks).

Formatting without secure erase or lots of benchmarking can cause similar issues as can running the drive nearly full.

If you are using Win7/8 with trim(AHCI mode in the bios) performance should return to normal over time. Even the drives firmware alone will clean the drive over time.

On important thing to know is that the WEI is not that great of a benchmark anyway(even different drivers can change the "score").

Check the drives status with something like CrystalDiskInfo and if all checks out, give it some time(see if it feels faster). I would not keep running the WEI over and over to check as it just adds write cycles to the drive for nothing.

Yes, kinda have the same problem but don't know how to fix it I'm afraid :/
Make sure you have all the windows updates installed and check if there are maybe newer drivers for your hardware.
And let superfetch do it's work.. after a few days you will see an improvement (hopefully).

How full is the drive - Max Usable space for a 250 gig SSD is around 180 Gigs ( 250 formated = approx 222 giogs - 20% = 178Gigs).

Are you using the Intel sata II port with the latest Intel driver, or the 3rd party Sata III port? NOTE: the agillity III is a SATA II drive in a sata III wrapper - that is it does NOT perform any better on Intel sata III port than when on a Intel Sata II port.

Can run AS SSD (don't bother running the Benchmark - (Unless you want to be dissapointed), but check the "driver" Should be iaSTOR which is slightly better than default msahci.

Windows WEI not a good benchmark, but You indicated it appears to be slower - Much more important fact.

ADDED: Nuke is 100% correct on use of secure erease, and NOT running benchmarks.

Thanks to all, I do know W7 numbers are a basic BM.
Its been bugging me that's all. It is plunged in to an old sata port so I wasn't expecting much of a increase .
I have a Asus P5Q still so I was glad to get into the 7's

Maybe its the cables or ports on the mobo I changed but I don't think that would cause any problems as the sata are all the same spec.
