Well i wanted to start a youtube gaming channel but i dont really know what the specs of a good editing computer is. My budget is around $500 and less. Also is an all-in-one computer good for that money range.
Thank you

What is your budget? :)

I would go for one of the good i7 - 8 GB RAM - 2 GB HD 7850 - Good equivalent motherboard - 600W PSU.
That should be enough.

For i7 I would say how about i7 2600K? A good CPU though.
I would recommend 4770K though, but that might be a bit costly.

Both are very good at video editing. ^^

Any computer will be fine, but the better the processor, the faster the clip is gonna get rendered. Also, SSD because you are constantly reading/writing from the local drive while editing the brute material

Nevertheless, more important then the hardware is the software you gonna use. People who edit videos use Apple's computers, because of their software. You gonna go crazy editing on Windows bundled software. You gonna have to buy Cyberlink PowerDirector, but thats the worst offering and still gonna give you headeches.

I sugest you get hte current macbook air, they have recently upgraded to haswell and PCi-x flash drive as the local drive. That is 2x faster then any Sata III SSD, its speed is equivalent to the OCZ revodrive. So for the time, its a computer wich have a low "apple tax". More importantly, their bundled software, iMovie, is a semi-professional editor

I expect a lot of people on this forum to say Apple is garbage, but reemmber that they are gamers, not creative professionals. I also sugest you contatc the people who make youtube videos, send them a message on youtube, and they will tell you the computer they use.

I won't call Apple garbage by any means as my dad has Macbook Pro and he is very satisfied with its performance.
What I would suggest here is that most people can not afford apple stuff, so if you are one of them, get a normal Windows 7 desktop and get Sony Vegas Pro installed in it. It is one of the best video editors and processors out there and would really help you out with gaming videos a lot. You can do a hell a lot of things in there.

I usually use it to make lyrics and game play videos and the quality is superb with no quality loss. I haven't done video proessing on dad's laptop but I am sure I won't get better performance than my current system with i5 2500K and HD 6850.
