Part of a good bundle, but is it worth it?

I was looking primarily at LGA 1155 sockets, as those are the most abundant, but I found this bundle with this Mobo which has LGA 1150 socket: MSI Z87-G45. I was planning on getting one of the Asus z77 (either p8z77-v or z77 sabertooth). So what would be a z87 equivalent of the two mentioned above? Also the bundle comes with a LGA 1150 processor the Intel Core i5 4670, which from my understanding is 4th gen processor. So is this all worth it? Or should I stick to my z77 series?

Also This only has SATA 6GB/s Slots, I was hoping on using the same hard drives that I have now, which are both SATA-II 3.0Gb/s. Those would be compatible with the slots, just not reach the 6 GB/s speeds right?

Current Hard drives (From Speccy): Hitachi HDT721010SLA360 & WDC WD5000AAKS-00YGA0

what about just the msi z87-g45. How good of a board is that?
And what about the SATA stuff, I'm pretty sure it's backwards comopatible, what about the cables? Are SATA 6.0 GB/s cables compatible with SATA 3.0 GB/s hard drives?

I also found one from Asus, z87-A, how is that compared to the msi one?
