Hi All,

I am just going to build a new system with following specifications:

MOBO: Asus P8Z77 - V Pro
RAM: Kingston Hyperx 1600 DDR3
CPU: Intel i5 3570K
HDD: Seagate 1TB 64MB
Gcard: Asus GTX 660 2GB
No optical drive

Please tell how much power supply is sufficient for this build. For gaming

-get a cheaper board like the z77-v LK. they overclock the same and contains enough features to get going
-get 1600mhz cl9 1.5v ram. kingston ram is bad for intel systems unless they are the 1.5v editions (which id still wouldnt get due to their high cost)
-with the saved money, buy yourself a 7870xt

a good xfx 550w for around 50 bucks will do it for you

Hey friend,

I don't want to SLI in future. I hope 450 watt would be enough for this build, as you suggested.

Hey, what's your budget? We might be able to fiddle it to get a HD 7870XT or even a HD 7950. But as it is the 7850 is cheaper and has almost the same performance as the the GTX 660 and it's overclocks like a champ, http://pcpartpicker.com/part/asus-video-card-hd7850dc22gd5v2. + with that cooler on it, it will be a lot quieter than the reference GTX 660.

gpuboss is not a reliable source.

@SamGriffiths: It is not random. It came from techpowerup. They ran tests on 18 games and that chart is the average in all resolutions. More reliable than GPUBoss. They don't run benchmarks at all.

Read it yourself: http://www.techpowerup.com/reviews/NVIDIA/GeForce_GTX_780/
