Are 27 inch/2560x1440/5ms GTG/IPS or TN monitors suitable for gaming using two GTX 3GB 780's? I play with high /ultra settings in games and I'm concerned I would have to bring some settings down. Judging by the market penetration and comments made in other threads, it seems that 24 inch monitors are the still the sweet spot, performance wise.
Is 27" gaming a viable option yet?

A single GTX 780 can push most games to 50-60 fps at 1440P on Ultra settings.

Note: 2560x1600 is used not 2560x1440. Since 1600p has 11% more pixels than 1440p. for the sake of simplicity just multiply the FPS by 1.11 to estimate the performance with a 1440p monitor. Also take into consideration the CPU used is an i7-3770k OC'ed to 4.6GHz.

I'd say its viable, just expensive as balls if you want to max out games.
Don't get a 27" TN panel. Just don't. Viewing angles are already low enough at 23/24"
Edit: also don't get 3x780s, get two if you must have SLi. I wouldn't get more than two though. Either wait untilmore powerful GPUs come out or... well... that would be your only option really. Lots of games don't utilize two gpus to there fullest (before anyone jumps down my throat, I did say fullest)
