Hi,
I'm on a budget at the minute so I plan to strip out what I can from my current machine and put it into a new build and then upgrade the GPU and possibly PSU at a later stage. The build will be used for gaming and I want to overclock the CPU:
What i'm taking from my old machine:
ATI XFX 5850
OZC Fata1ity 550w PSU
Windows 7 OS
What I know I want for the new build:
Zalman Z11 Plus case - I really like this case, it says on their site that it has 290mm of space for graphics cards Is this enough for 2013/2014 cards? if not any other case suggestions?
Intel core i5 3750k
8GB Ram
1TB hard drive (will add a second at a later stage and raid them)
60 or 80GB SSD to use as an OS drive
So the advice I need is:
A good motherboard at a decent price that will be a good over-clocker. I will probably have two hard drives + an SSD so need at least three Sata 3 ports.
Some high performance ram that is good for gaming/overclocking
If you don't think my PSU is strong enough then can a replacement?
A reliable fast SSD that is reasonably cheap.
A good aftermarket CPU cooler.
A cheap decent DVD RW drive.
