Hi guys, need some advice on drivers and PCI-E slots:
I currently have a AMD 7770 with the 13.1 catalyst driver version. I have purchased a Sapphire OC edition 7870 and my question was, will I have to install new drivers before or after I install the OC 7870? (I have read posts where people had to remove the 7870, and put in the old card and install drivers as windows didn't have a display)
and
Do I actually need new drivers? or will my current 13.1 recognise my new card? I ask this as from checking the AMD site, the drivers seem/appear to cover the entire 7000 series.
On the PCI-E
My Mobo has a 2.0 PCI slot, and the OC 7870 is a 3.0, I have read that PCI is backwards compatible.
Any help will be appreciated.
