Hey,

I know you guys get this alot but:

Here is my system:

Intel i7 930 @ 2.80
6GB RAM
Nvidia 460

I know the system needs a complete overhaul, but would I see any beinifit if I just replaced the GPU with something like a nvidia 660? I know I'm on PCIe2.0 and it's a PCI 3.0 card, but could I get any better performance out of the 660 on PCIe 2.0?

You're system is still relevant. You would get better performance with a 660 and you'll get framerates similar to those in the reviews. The x58 standard ATX boards have two slots that will run at PCIe 2.0 x16 bandwidth. This is equal to the bandwidth of PCIe 3.0 x8 bandwidth. Even if you run SLI on a newer PCIe 3.0 Z77 motherboard (and don't get a classified or special edition board), both slots run at PCIe 3.0 x8 bandwidth. This bandwidth is theoretically equal to what you have in an PCIe 2.0 x16 slot. A 75% increase in BF3 at 1920x1200 is nothing to scough at (the center chart with FSAA):

Cool, I have been noticing the 460 creeping down the graphs on benchmarks sites so thought it was time to upgrade the GPU now the 700 series is out. I was just concerned that there might be a bottleneck in the system.

Perhaps I might wait until 760's ......

Hmmm well as long as I can get 100% - 75% worth of the upgrade with the new GPU. (660 or 760)
The only 1366 CPUs I can get now are Xeons, so after this I think it will have to be a "haswell" overhaul upgrade.
