Graphics card compatible with my desktop?

I currently have an integrated ATI Radeon 3000 HD graphics along with 2 PCI express x1 slots in my desktop.?
Since my current graphics card is too slow to run any games, I was wondering if I can upgrade to a new graphics card specifically the NVIDIA GEFORCE 8400 GS which just says PCI Express as the compatible port (don't know what that means doesnt have any number next to it). Can anyone help me figure out if this graphics card is compatible with an x1 slot that my desktop has? Thanks

ANY graphics card that will work with an x1 slot will be slower than the integrated graphics you are already using. You need at least an x16 PCI/E slot.

Thanks a lot for the response. Unfortunately I do have to make best of what I got and I know there is very limited x1 graphics card out there since it is very outdated. However my computer only has 2 PCI express x1 slots. If I do buy this graphics card and use it as my video card, isn't the performance just going to be affected a little but still faster than my current integrated graphics card rather than the video card being slower than my current graphics card?

The integrated graphics card will certainly have more than 1 lane and be able to transfer more graphic data than through an x1 slot.

You could buy a faster card, but it wouldn't be able to transfer the data via an x1 slot fast enough to be faster than your integrated card.

Adding a faster graphics card via an x1 slot would be like trying to fill a bathtub with a teaspoon of water at a time.
