First post, this site was a massive help when I was building my first PC not too long ago and Im hoping you guys can help again with another PC Build.

My brother asked me to help him upgrade his PC as its very old now, slow and unreliable. Btw I want it to be intel not amd, just to clear that up straight away.

His budget is virtually non existent and theres no way he can afford anything like an i3

His current pc is this:
http://www.uktsupport.co.uk/advent/pc/t9317.htm

Motherboard
MS-7255 P4M890

CPU
Intel Core 2 Duo E6300 (1.86GHz)

Memory
1GB DDR2 PC2-4200 (2 memory slots. Max 2GB)

Hard Drive
250GB SATA

CD Drive
HL-DT-ST DVD-RAM GSA-H20N

Video Card
nVIDIA GeForce 7300SE PCI-E 64MB (up to 512MB with Turbocache)

TV Card
Creatix Digital TV tuner (CTX948)

Sound Card
VIA VT3310(UAA) integrated sound

Network Card VIA PCI 10/100 fast ethernet adapter

Modem
Creatix CTX 609 SoftModem

So far ive chosen:

Motherboard
Gigabyte GA-H61MA-D2V, Intel H61 Chipset with USB3 Support

CPU
Intel Pentium G2020 Socket 1155 Dual Core Processor

Memory
Corsair Memory 2x2GB DDR3 1333 Mhz

using the Scan VB10i on this page:

The rest at the moment would be the same.

He makes music using FL ALOT of the time so on top of me making sure the above are decent enough for the money I was thinking of replacing the PSU and Case

I was thinking about the power supply and how it would probably be wise to buy a 500w and then as I cant find out which case he already has I was thinking of just replacing that myself for this one:

Other things like changing video card, sound card, hdd blah blah he can do on his own and at a later date seeing as he can just about use the current rubbish one for it.

If anyone can help (and understand) that'd be great :)
