This is my first build and I would like to build something for gaming. I've been doing a lot of research on each component and came to this build. I'm currently using an Asus laptop that I bought a few years ago and looking for a beefy desktop. I priced this out at about $1500 and didn't think there was a whole lot more I could shave off, in terms of money. Anyhow, I'm looking for any advice or if I should steer clear of any of these parts, or basically any knowledge anyone has from experience about pairing these items.

This is the list so far:

· Cpu

o Intel Core i5-4670K 3.4GHz Quad-Core Processor

· CPU Cooler

o Corsair H60 54.0 CFM Liquid CPU Cooler

· Motherboard

o Asus Z87-PRO ATX LGA1150 Motherboard

· Memory

o Corsair Vengeance 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-1866 Memory

· Storage

o Intel 520 Series Cherryville 120GB 2.5" Solid State Disk
Western Digital Caviar Black 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive

· Video Card

o EVGA GeForce GTX 770 2GB Video Card

· Case

o NZXT Phantom 630 (Matte Black) ATX Full Tower Case

· Power Supply

o Corsair Professional Gold 850W 80 PLUS Gold Certified ATX12V / EPS12V Power Supply

· Optical Drive

o Asus DRW-24B1ST/BLK/B/AS DVD/CD Writer

Good build. However, I'd recommend away from water cooling. Only the very best water coolers do a better job than the top air coolers such as Noctua's NH-C14 or NH-D14. Those Noctua air coolers will actually do a better job than the Cosair H60, you would need to use the H100 to beat it and even then by only a couple degrees. Not enough to make up for the risks. Like the water pump can go bad. Worse, you can make a mistake and have it leak into your computer or it could start leaking on its own and cost you a thousand dollars worth of replaced components. Especially for a newbie, go Air.

Power Supply is Good.

Sabertooth, The shroud over the board traps heat in and collects dust. Get another board.
