The difference between the asus gtx 680 2 GB and 4 GB

Chesteracorgi answered your second question. No big difference at all between 2gb and 4gb really. Most games don't use more than 2vram. Unless you are playing at a higher resolution (past 1080p) Then I'd opt for 4gb.

Yes they are compatible in SLI, but (unless I am mistaken) in SLI your maximum memory will be the smaller of the two cards. SLI doubles the processing power, but they default to the lesser of the two cards in specs. If you have a current GTX 680 and want to SLI buy another which matches it in RAM.
