I am looking to buy the IdeaPad U410 Touch. Lenovo offers 6 potential models, differences mainly being the i5 3337U upgrading to the i7 3537U or going from a regular HDD to a hybrid with a 24GB SSD cache.
After doing some reading I am not certain but I believe that the i7 3537U is a dual core processor. I have heard that for a laptop going from i5 to i7 dual core is a very negligible upgrade for the price, and that it only becomes truly worthwhile when going from i5 dual core to i7 quad core. Is this still the case?
If so I imagine between the two possible upgrades my money would be better spent on the hybrid HDD. The laptop will be for college, used mainly for web browsing, paper writing, and light gaming. Would the difference between the two CPUs stand out for any of these purposes?
