Are you buying a monitor: No

Parts to Upgrade: Computer XD

Do you need to buy OS: Maybe but ill probably take of that myself

Preferred Website(s): none its my first time

Location: City, State/Region, Country - Lisbon, Portugal(yeah i know....)

Parts Preferences: Intel CPU; Nvidia GPU

Overclocking: No

SLI or Crossfire: No

Your Monitor Resolution: No idea I have a couple of monitors and does it really matter?

Additional Comments: Quiet; cool looking case

And Most Importantly, Why Are You Upgrading: Because i dont technically have a computer of my own

EDIT: Just noticed it says $1300 MAX. For awesome boot up times and opening times of some programs, then for an extra $130 you can get a 128GB Samsung 840 Pro Series SSD (currently one of the best SSDs on the market).

With your budget I would say intel 3570k and a gtx 660ti. Go with corsair on PSU and G Skil RAM. Cases, you will have to decide that yourself but I would go with something like a 650d from corsair because I like metal cases and not plastic. Also sign up for newegg newsletter and you will find many good monitor deals. Probably an asus. For keyboard I bought a $10 ps/2 first, which is honestly a better route than a 50+ dollar keyboard for people on a budget. Post some of your ideas and I will give you better feedback.

OP is in Portugal so links to Newegg and NCIX will be of little use.

Just giving the OP an idea on hardware. Anyway, OP's budget is listed in dollars so I'm sure he will be fine with it being listed this way.

But the thing you have to keep in mind is that what's available here and what's available in Portugal don't always match up. There's things like power and voltage requirements, video connection, for instance. If you check the database I created there's quite a few stores for Portugal and you'll have to manually copy and paste the links. It's not as easy as PC Part Picker but it's the only way it can be done.
