I have a budget under £300 (Live in britain)

So i managed to find fairly good price on the GTX 770 (£284 http://www.waeplus.co.uk/item/340794/Gainward-GeForce-GTX-770-2GB-Graphics-Ca?ref=gooad&gclid=CNDP9puU7LcCFeTLtAodN2UA-Q ) I would end up getting it for £279 due to having a £5 voucher :D

and i can find a 7970 for £263 ( http://www.waeplus.co.uk/item/155743/AMD-Radeon-HD-7970-DOUBLE-DISSIPATION-ED?ref=gooad&gclid=CNXcmp-f7LcCFVMQtAodXD0A0Q ) doesn't include the NEVER SETTLE PACK! :(

Now my question is this would i be better of getting the GTX 770 (I'm more inclined that way myself :p) or to get the 7970 if that's a better card..?

The thing is they are very close in performance so but the 7970 I believe can OC better and has nice game bundle (all "AAA" games). However if you plan to SLI with in the next year or so Then I would go with 770 because of stronger SLI drivers. Even thought AMD is working on the issue as they say "one in the hand is worth two in the bush".

is the Gainward GeForce GTX 770 2GB a good version of the Gtx 770? it is not the Phantom version but just a normal Gainward GeForce GTX 770 2GB.
I would be running at 1080p gaming and the Occasional 3D gaming on a 46" samsung TV!

A 7970 is a 7970. With great overclocking and 3GB of memory. A 770 is an overclocked tapped out 680, that nvidia is finally selling at a fair price.. And they cranked the power to do it.

They are very very close now that nvidia is competing. If you want single card 7970. If you want multiple cards later a 770(but only till AMD fixes their drivers)
