Can stock gtx660 boost harm card? If so, how do i disable it?

Just out of curiosity, as long as the my gtx660 is kept nice and cool, can the factory's stock boost setting harm the card? It is an MSI gtx660 twin frozr OC edition.
If it can harm the card, how do i disable the boost feature?

To my knowledge, it won't. The card was made for a certain frequency and it was stress-tested at the factory before shipping to you.
The card would work correctly even if you forced the default clock as your boost clock, but you will suffer from constant high-power use (more electricity bill).
