On a budget for a gaming PC. AMD vs Intel?

Hi everyone! I currently have the Powercolor PCS+ Myst. Edition Radeon HD 7870 (Tahiti LE) OC 2GB Graphics card and a Corsair CX600M Modular PSU.
What mobo & chipset should I go with if I want to keep the cost down?
The most graphically intensive game I will be playing is Battlefield 3 and soon to be Battlefield 4.
From what I have read so far the FX-6350 and FX-8350 are on par with some high expensive Intel chips. Plus the next chips will likely be AM3+ meaning same mobo.
Even with this information people are still telling me to get Intel. It's confusing!
Thanks for reading!

It depends on the information I receive from you guys. For the FX-6350 and GIGABYTE GA-970A-DS3 AMD 970A (Socket AM3+) ATX Motherboard it will cost around £150 or I could go dearer and buy the FX-8350. It all depends on what you guys think will be best for gaming and for the future.
And also, whether to stick with the AMD options I mentioned or go with Intel.

I currently have a 32" LCD 1080p TV, but will eventually be upgrading to a monitor. Maybe even a 120Hz monitor.
Don't have the mobo or CPU yet, only the parts I previously mentioned.

At 1080p you would be hard pressed to really tell a difference between an 8350, 6350 ,I5 or even an I3 using the 7870LE. Do your research, ask questions and then you can make an informed choice. Everyone has their own idea for the best computer, be it intel or amd and no matter if you go with the 6350, 8350, 3570k or 4770k you will have a very good computer that will serve you for a long time.
