HTPC build help

I got a free A8 5600K from AMD Fan Day a while back and have been wanting to build a HTPC with it.

I have a budget of around 550 USD but because of shipping and CA tax that would come out to around 470-~480

I prefer newegg but I guess any retailer would work if I can get it for a lower price without the sales tax or shipping

I am not going to be going into hardcore gaming, this will be more like a living room box so I need a HTPC keyboard but nothing too fancy or expensive. I might want a 360 style controller for PC too if I can game on it

This is an unlocked processor but I am not going to be overclocking it, if anything I might underclock it depending on fan speeds and temperatures.

I will not be going for any kind of watercooling on this system

OS is not included in the price, I have already purchased a copy of Windows earlier for this.

I will not be mining Bitcoins

>gaming

If I am playing games I will play probably go for 1080p if the settings dont work I will lower it down to 720p but nothing lower than that.

I will not play on "low" settings, medium is the lowest I game at.

This would mainly be casual games, but I might want to try Mass Effect ( 720p if I can't get good details in on 1080)

I really like the mini-ITX form factor so I am kinda limited in parts I can choose but I have a tentative build here http://pcpartpicker.com/p/17wH0

I have a SATA slimline adapter btw from a previous build where the dvd player stopped working.

Thanks,Rishiswaz

I'm not sure what question you are asking, but I just build an HTPC using that same processor. I am just getting it configured so I can't add much in the way of feedback, but things came together nicely and I am happy so far. I used a different PSU(Cooler Master GX450 I think) than in this post because of size limitations in the case.

I was giving the situation for a reference to parts and just asking for feedback. Thanks though, I checked the link and I think we have pretty similar builds except mine is mini ITX so it has some different issues with that. Glad it is working out for you :)
