FX-6100 good for gaming

I was wondering if the FX-6100 is good for gaming with like a 7970, i would like to get the FX-6100 but i was also looking at the FX-8120

personally, id say if you're going 7970 tier on the gpu, go up to the 6300, the vishera processors (x3xx) are a good improvement over the somewhat disappointing zambezi series(x1xx). if you want the 8 core edition, go for the 8320.
