Turns out the HP Socket 775 cooler needs a backplate to take larger than normal screws/bolts.

The bolts seem to be about 3mm or 5/32, I'm not sure which. A 3mm nut or a 5/32 nut both seem to screw on and both seem a very loose fit.

Every backplate I've bought recently - and everyone I find advertised - has a smaller hole - make for that typical small computer screw we fasten hard drives in with and such.

Anyone know where I might be able to get the right thing? I've got this DC7100S board I'm trying to get up.

Well that looks good but they want $30 or something for postage to Australia where I happen to be at the moment. It's given me an idea though. Maybe I can get some long bolts and fit them in - like swap the large thread ones in there now for some new smaller ones....

Might even find a place sells exactly that kind of bolt...
