i am looking at two cards. http://www.ebay.com/itm/200922394198?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2649 and http://www.ebay.com/itm/New-GIGABYTE-AMD-Radeon-HD-7790-OC-2GB-GDDR5-2DVI-HDMI-DisplayPort-pci-e-Video-/161022364315?pt=PCC_Video_TV_Cards&hash=item257dae4a9b they are both 7790's one has 1gb and the other 2gb. i am using a 47" 720p monitor and have a 19" on the way. i play games such as fallout new vegas and was wondering if it is worth the 40$ to get this upgrade? and with the 40$ savings i might even go with 2 cards. i just recently built myself a nice kick ass AMD computer for a good cost to performance ratio. but know nothing on what to look for in a GPU, Thoughts?

You do not need more than 1gb of VRAM on an entry level card like that. If you run a game at high enough settings to use more than that, it will be unplayably slow on a card that low-end. HOWEVER.. you did mention new vegas.. If you mod that heavily I would go with the 2gb version. I know how those bethesda games can get on VRAM when you mod them.

my specs : 16gb ddr3 1600mhz
AMD 8350 4.0ghz quad core
corsair ssd
corsair 750 watt modular psu
coolermaster seidon 240m cpu cooler.

yes they are both gddr5. and the single 2gb card is better than the dual 1gb? i mean i know the vram doesnt stack. and i do not need these cards i am looking for something in and about the $200 range and those looked affordable to me. i would take any suggestions

What's the resolution of the 19" monitor you ordered? If it's 720p as well (less than 1920x1080 for example) the 1GB card is going to be enough. Usually lower end (less expensive) GPUs aren't fast enough to run games at the resolutions that would require 2GB of memory.

It all depends on what you're planning to do in the near future though.

A 1GB video card is entirely adequate for that resolution. If you were going to play games like Skyrim for example and install lots of graphics mods (texture packs) a 2GB card may have an advantage. Otherwise for most game titles without crazy mods you'll be fine with a 1GB card.
