This is probably the dumbest question/ problem you will ever see but for some reason I can't get my TV to hook up to my PC. Im using an HDMI cable and all I am getting is "no signal". I have a 7950 gpu if that matters and I keep reading about "make sure you have extended display selected" but I can't find that anywhere! Sorry for the stupidity of this question but any help would be appreciated! (running windows 7)

There are TWO things you need to ensure:

1) The HDTV is set to use that HDMI input.

2) The PC is configured to output a signal via HDMI.

You need to go into CCC (Catalyst Control Panel) and look into the section on MULTIPLE DISPLAYS. You will want to deal with the HDTV section and your signal would probably be a 1080p_NTSC 60 signal.

You'll have different options as well such as:
1) HDTV only
2) PC screen only
3) Both (CLONED signal)
4) Both (one MAIN screen, 2nd screen is "extended").

AUDIO:
You also may have to change the audio device to "HDMI" as it's likely set to your onboard sound. (right-click audio icon in lower-right, Playback Devices, select proper one and set as DEFAULT.)
