low budget gaming cpu

hello i want to buy an i3 3220 with a gtx 660...and a friend tells me to buy an a10 6800 +gtx660 cause its better he tells me that sometimes the amd is also better than an i7...should i listen to him?what's your opinion about?

LOL that is a joke and he should not go around giving bad information. For one the a10 6800 is an apu meaning its a cpu gpu hybrid on board. Buying a decent gpu like a 660 and putting it with a hybrid is rediculous you only get to use the halfed cpu with your decent gpu and would be bottlenecked in most games. If you want an amd cpu they make dedicated cpus better then apus when used with a gpu. an i7 ivy bridge or haswell or even sandy bridge e destroys any amd cpu
