Hello everyone, I am not sure if this is where I should be posting, but anyway, here goes. About 2 days ago I shut down my pc (home-built), and as it shut down Windows 7 updated. Anyway, all was good until I tried to turn it back on later and was confronted by error code 10 (PEI core is started) on my Asrock z77 extreme 4 motherboard.

So I tried everything from the breadboard setup with just the cpu, HSF, 1 stick of ram and the power supply to resetting the cmos battery. As I am typing this post, it is giving me the code 19 error (Pre-memory south bridge initialization is started) with just the PSU , HSF + CPU, 1 stick of ram in the first slot and the motherboard (of course). Oh, and no Beep

Yet a screen other than pitch black remains elusive. I have tried both my GPU (7870 - Sapphire) and the onboard graphics - all ports. Monitor is fine, I tested it.

It just doesn't make sense. Most of the reports of this occurring were in newly built systems, my system was fine before the update 2 days ago.

Specs:

Motherboard: Asrock extreme 4 z77
CPU: i5 3570k O/C to 4.2GHz
Cooler: Hyper 212 Evo
PSU: Corsair TX650-M
RAM: G.Skill Ares 2x4GB 1600MHz

Built - Early October 2012

I don't know what it could be. And am hoping someone here can shed some light on the situation.

Thank you - Muppet13

Oh, and I don't have a spare MB, CPU or PSU for testing either.
