Hi,

My current need is to have triple monitors on my rig for gaming (mainly Battlefield 3). I will detail all the information I have and some of the solutions I have come across. And would highly like if anyone who tried this or has an additional opinion to assist.

My PC Specs:

Intel® Desktop Board DH67CL
Core i7
16 GB RAM
Inno 3d GTX 560 Ti 4GB GDDR5 Link http://www.inno3d.com/product/gtx560ti.html
Screen LG Flatron E2241 running at 1920x1080
x6 thermaltake fans for the case ventilation
CPU cooler thermaltake FRIO advanced

I have been told that this GPU would not support triple or dual monitors (hardware limitation etc..)
I came across a product called TripleHead2Go Digital Edition who could somehow solve this problem for me.

To be honest I don’t know if that will work, but this company asked me to run a tool in order to see if my GPU and PC are compatible with this product and received the below:

“My system supports a maximum resolution of 5040x1050 59Hz (3x 1680x1050)”

I don’t know if this will make me lose resolution/performance/good quality or will interfere with the games I play.
Mainly I play Battlefield 3 on my rig.

I am totally aware of my options:

1- Get a new more powerful GPU (AMD with eyefinity or a better NVIDIA for the surround)
2- I can’t have SLI mode as my motherboard only supports one GPU
3- Need to try my option with TripleHead2Go Digital Edition

Please advise.

Thanks

560ti should support 2, but not 3 monitors. Need SLI for that.

Assuming you turn the settings down, TH2G should work for a single 560ti ... just keep in mind that it's not the most powerful card and whenever you expand a game to that size resolution, it slows the card down. You'll have to find your comfort zone between quality and FPS.

Single monitor = higher quality and FPS
Triple monitor = less quality and/or FPS

That being said, any card on the market will pretty much have issues with triple monitor setups and ultra settings. That being said, it depends on what you can afford as to how much of an improvement you can get in quality and FPS over the 560ti and whether or not it's worth it vs TH2G.
