Creation of a partition? It's how your computer recognises your avaliavle system drives, in this case he is using the entirety of the disk drive tom amke it the main system drive C:. He mentions creating more than one as advanced settings, that's where you create two or more storage spaces on a single drive for example; C: and D: on a single storage device.
