possibly just AMD are a bad choice for a CPU towards gaming just remember Intel for CPU and AMD/Nvidia for GPU but to be fair your graphics card should be able to run it on maybe ultra just test it out if you can :)

Yes you can run Skyrim, what resolution are you going to play at? at 1080p you can play at medium settings, the 7770 is better than the recommended settings.

So intel would be better in terms of gaming?

Intel are just the best CPUs unfortunately the Intel HD Graphics are shocking haha but AMD are Great for graphics cards along with Nvidia, but yes with your graphics Cards you should be fine an you can always experiment on what you prefer that's why gaming on PC is far more supreme than console gaming :)

I'd think high at best at 1080p. With the HD texture pack at least.

I don't intend to alter skyrim in any way, except dlc, because I like skyrim a lot, in fact have played it through 6 times in the story, going into every guild completing those quests as well and so on.

I just want to know if it can run it WITHOUT the extras on medium/high with a decent framerate.

Skyrim comes with a default normal (Ps3 clone basically) texture. I think Steam installs it with the official HD texture pack. There are also unofficial ones, some of which are stunning... but they put a huge drain on system resources :p
