Hello, I'm new here and as I said I want to buy a new graphics: http://http://www.sapphiretech.com/presentation/product/?cid=1&gid=3&sgid=1159&pid=1876&psn=&lid=#. Well its memory clock is 6400Mhz but does this have to do anything with the RAM speed? I mean can my PC handle this graphics card as I only have 4GB of RAM?

Your PC should handle it fine. The GPU (Graphics Processing Unit) has its own RAM, while your system

also has its own too. There's lots of specs in GPUs, but you don't have to pay much attention to them unless you're

comparing two of the same GPUs, to determine which one is the better one.

The card carries it's own RAM onboard, that's the memory that runs at 6400 MHz. It doesn't affect the way your system RAM works.

ram is the system memory and the gpu uses it's own memory called video ram and it would not, cannot affect ur RAM speed

So it's not necessary to upgrade to 8GB Ram. Thanks a lot!

The previous two posters are correct. That being said, the 7790 is a good card, but for 20 more I would seriously look at the 7850. Wider memory bus and higher clock speeds result in better performance for not much more money.

Well 8GB sure would be good and is ideal for gaming. As abekl said, the 7850 is also very viable.

the 7850 1gb would be the best choice within 160$ but still the hd7790 would be the best choice if u are struck at that budget

Yeah I took a look at it and everything seems to be better but the core clock is less. Does this really matter or not?

no it does not matter,hd7790 is a newer card and for it's less bus width it was given a core clock higher than many good gpu's.the hd7850 is way better than the hd7790,trust me and get it,u would be happy.....
