So every time I click the left mouse button the right click menu appears. I had a really old dell mouse and thought the problem was the mouse at first but i got a new and good mouse but it is still doing it. I have tried using different USB ports, restarting the computer and just about everything else i can think of. The problem only occurs when I try to click on something in the start menu or in other windows os related things like the control panel and I also get the problem in Skype and sometimes have issues clicking active windows on the taskbar. I know its not the mouse but what else could possibly be doing this?

if i right click the desktop it works normally as does left click, its only when i go into the start menu, anything on the start menu, and Skype does the problem occur where both buttons right click, and sometimes the taskbar doesn't click when i try to select a window.
