Can I insert a additional SSD on Gateway NV59C?

Hello.

I have a problem with my HDD (WD Caviar Blue) on my gateway NV59C. So I have decided to replace the unit. However I have the doubt about if I could insert the SSD as a additional drive removing the DVD/CD ROM drive?

Thanks and excuse me.

  1. I'm assuming this is a laptop. Why would you want to keep a HDD that is giving you problems?

Excuse me, I don't keep my old hard disk. I want to buy 2 new drives.
  3. I've never done this but I've heard of others who have. Try this page for adapters. http://www.newegg.com/Product/ProductList.aspx?Submit=ENE&N=100007599&IsNodeId=1&bop=And&ActiveSearchResult=True&SrchInDesc=SSd%2C%20Laptop&Page=1&PageSize=20

Personally, I would opt for a large SSD/HDD plus external storage. Sooner or later you will need to use a CD/DVD with your laptop and then you'll have to buy an external unit.
