New build, consists of:

Intel Core i5 4670

Gigabyte's GTX 770 2gb

1080P Acer Monitor

8gb Crucial Ram-1600 MHz

MSI Z87 Chipset Gaming Mobo

Stock coolers

Seagate 360gb hdd + 1tb WD C-Black

Cosair Carbon Series Mid Tower

Total: 530.57-I love you micro center's Intel Haswell Deals!!!

Samsung 120 gb ssd (thanks toms~won as a prize!)

Anyways i can run *almost* anything on maxed out settings right?

AND record at 720/1080P??? Thanks Bros

Generally, the better ones start at 150.00 and up. Although searching around, you may find one around a 100.00. It depends on what features you want. If you just a basic one it might be doable for 100.00. I don't have much experience with the less expensive ones, like the TV tuner type capture cards and more experience with expensive video capture cards. I started out with a Video Toaster card with an Amiga back in the olden days.

Also, it depends if you want an internal or external. Externals cost a little more but I have used internals so I can't comment on externals except to say now with USB 3.0 they should work fine and have the convenience of hooking things up(no reaching around your tower etc).

If you are recording. i would recommend a video capture device(either an internal card or an external device).

I have used Hauppauge, Pinnacle and AverMedia products and they are easy to use and high quality.

Edit and PS: Recording at 720 is usually more than enough but if you are streaming to Twitch.tv then 360 is fine. On Twitch, to get higher than 360, you must have a bunch of viewers, then they will upgrade you. One thing to consider is to get a much bigger HD(or multiples) if you want to record a bunch of gaming of whatever, especially at 1080. It makes it easier sometimes to just record while you playing and not have to worry about the HD getting full. It can fill up FAST!

I didnt think i realy needed a card for it, msi afterburner works amazing

I should have asked, are you going to be streaming the video at the same time as recording? If not, then that is less taxing on your system.

You may want to check out youtube and twitchTV forums and see what they recommend. But like I said before hauppuage/Pinnacle and
AverMedia make good products.

The only games i would be live streaming is PS2, with built in streaming. I head it actual doesn't tax the gpu but rather your internet, as it takes the processes data and uploads it.

The only problem i have is a COD MW3 15min TDM@720P is like 8 gigs and my internet is 10mb d and 1.5 up
