My motherboard is a gigabyte 78LMT-USB3 and has only one PCI-E 2.0 slot (I think). I want to buy the GTX 660 for my birthday in one week. After doing just about all of the research I am led to a final conclusion;
I know the 660 is dual slot. what does this mean?
As the 660 is dual slot and my motherboard has only one slot but has space enough at the bottom for the card will the card run?

Dual slot doesn't mean it requires two motherboard slots. It plugs into one slot but the cooler overhangs over the slow below it. On the outside of the case it will take up two slots, but just the one PCIe slot on the mobo.

The card will run, though you'll need to provide power. What power supply do you have?
