I know that when I run a RAID I should use identical models of hard drives. But does this make a difference if I just have multiple drives in the computer case running as normal storage?
I'm looking at putting: a 500 GB for school work. a 1 TB drive for movies and music. a 2 TB for games. And then either a 1.5 or 2 TB for internal back ups. I have plenty of room for them, but does it matter if the drives are different brands and speeds?
