I am 12 years old and I am building a computer because I need a new rig to game on and because I think it would be a great experience for someone my age top build a computer. This is my first time building a computer.

OS: I already have one (Windows 7 64 bit home edition)
Monitor: I don't have one but you don't have to include it.
Processor: I would want at least 4 cores and I would prefer Intel but I know that they are expensive and if you are including an AMD processor then I would want the eight core edition.
HDD: I cannot stand a regular hard drive. They are insanely slow. I don't need too much memory as I don't use that much anyways. I would want at least a 100 GB SSD.
RAM: I want at least 8 GB and make it at least 1600 mHz.
Case: I don't need this to be super high end I would like it to have LED lights though.
Motherboard: I'm not really sure about this just make it support decent over clocking.
PSU: I don't care just make it support the whole system.
Graphics Card: I don't care just make it decent.

Most importantly, what I am using it for: Gaming on CPU/GPU intensive games, recording using something like fraps, and maybe some video editing.. (But not much). It is okay if it goes a little over 500 bucks but remember I am 12 years old. Thank you in advance :D.

Ok. I'm not sure I'd build a machine exactly like this, as another $50-$100 could go a LONG way, but there's no "bad" part here, meaning nothing I would not consider buying myself.

Antec VP-450 450W ATX 12V v2.3 Power Supply
Model #:VP-450
Item #:N82E16817371045
$49.99 -$10.00 Instant $39.99
Probably the least expensive PSU I'd buy. The Corsair "CX" can be cheaper, but I do not trust their long-term reliability due to some inferior capacitors used in them.

Rosewill Blackbone Black Steel / Plastic ATX Mid Tower Computer Case
Model #:Blackbone
Item #:N82E16811147023
$49.99 -$5.00 Instant $44.99
This has a blue LED front fan, but no window. Stay away from flashy-looking Apevia and Raidmax cases; they're...
I will see what I can come up with. A few first thoughts though...
$500 is not a high budget for the CPUs you are considering, and to also leave enough for a decent graphics card.
A SSD will also be hard to fit into this budget. Since you want to work with video files, you will no doubt run out of space sooner rather than later.
A case with a LED front fan won't be too difficult, maybe even one with a window. Additional lights will likely be future minor upgrade items though, once again in order to make budget.
Back shortly with a build...

This has a blue LED front fan, but no window. Stay away from flashy-looking Apevia and Raidmax cases; they're flimsy near-junk. There are cheaper cases, but by the time you add in shipping, they'll be as much or more than this one, which has free shipping.

Crucial 8GB (2 x 4GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1333 (PC3 10600) Desktop Memory Model CT2KIT51264BA1339

$67.99 -$18.00 Instant $49.99
Cheapest 8GB kit I found easily. Not 1600, but the performance difference will be slight.

Western Digital WD Blue WD5000AAKX 500GB 7200 RPM 16MB Cache SATA 6.0Gb/s 3.5" Internal Hard Drive - OEM
Model #:WD5000AAKX
Item #:N82E16822136769

There is simply not enough money in your budget for a SSD, even a cheap one. Partition this drive as 111GB for C: and the rest for D:; when you get a SSD later, you'll be able to simply clone C: onto it.

HIS iCooler H777F1G2M Radeon HD 7770 GHz Edition 1GB 128-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 3.0 x16 HDCP Ready Video Card
Model #:H777F1G2M
Item #:N82E16814161402
$129.99 -$30.00 Instant $99.99
A stronger card would be nice, but isn't in the budget. This will play any game though, on at least "medium" settings; some high.

ASUS M5A97 LE R2.0 AM3+ AMD 970 SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX AMD Motherboard with UEFI BIOS
Model #:M5A97 LE R2.0
Item #:N82E16813131872
Mail in Rebate Card
$89.99 -$11.00 Instant $78.99
There are cheaper boards, but I would not expect them to last. I'd actually rather go a little higher, to get VRMs on the heatsinks, but this board will do for stock to mild overclocks.

AMD FX-6300 Vishera 3.5GHz (4.1GHz Turbo) Socket AM3+ 95W Six-Core Desktop Processor FD6300WMHKBOX
Model #:FD6300WMHKBOX
Item #:N82E16819113286
$119.99 $119.99
You won't fit an 8-core CPU in your budget. For many things, an Intel i3 would be better, but an i3 build may actually cost a little more but may not do as well at well-threaded video tasks. The stock cooler will allow stock operation or mild overclocks. Another $20 will buy a Xigmatek Gaia, which will allow moderate overclocks and be a lot quieter.

LG 24X DVD Burner - Bare Drive Black SATA Model GH24NS95 - OEM
Model #:GH24NS95
Item #:N82E16827136259
$17.99 $17.99
Meh. One optical drive is much like another. There is a $3-off promo code on this one.

Subtotal: $511.92
A hair over your budget, but note the promo code and there's also a rebate on the motherboard.
