990FXA-GD65 OR 970A-G46 & FX6300 or FX6350 ?

Hello everyone

I will be buying a set of Motherboard-CPU-Ram (I have rest of the components required) within next few days. I have searched enough & narrowed my choices to AMD 6 cores & MSI Mobo.

The only confusion I am left with are :
1) FX 6300 (95watt) or FX6350 (125 watt!!)
2) 990FXA-GD65 OR 970A-G46 (I heard there are V2 of these as well)

I can really save some bucks by choosing the G-46, but I am afraid, whether it would support a 6350's wattage if overclocked (although I doubt I will ever do that but still just want to keep the option open)

Also as per http://www.cpubenchmark.net/ 6350's performance is way better than 6300. But is it really so? Otherwise I would really be happy with a G-46 & 6300.

P.S - My purpose of this rig will be recent games with as much as higher settings as possible within the capability of 6300/6350 (Don't bother suggesting me Intel, I don't have the money!!) & watching/listening Bluray quality video/Audio.

Why not the MSI 990XA-GD55 then. It has the same amount of VRMs as the 990FXA-GD65, but should be cheaper.

The performance difference between the FX-6350 and FX-6300 is small. It's the exact same CPU just at slightly higher clocks - and that becomes irrelevant when both can be overclocked. All you're left with is a possibly better binned chip that might reach higher clocks... or might not.

Checked newegg, it's showing discontinued. Feedbacks aren't good too!! Any other recommendation??

Actual power consumption of FX6350 is just 10w more than the FX6300. TDP doesn't reflect a CPU/GPU's power consumption, just an awareness from manufacturer that you should have "that good" of a cpu cooler ( that can handle 125w output, in this case ) to run the CPU/GPU unstressful.

As for board, I recommend the Gigabyte ga-970a-UD3. Good power design ( 8+2 phases, on par with 990FXA-GD65 ) that can handle even upcoming FX9000 CPU, plus many features for just 100$ : http://pcpartpicker.com/part/gigabyte-motherboard-ga970aud3

Considering that MSI board has an Coaxial S/Pdif, which is my only option to get in connected with my sound system, without buying additional converter, I would still go for it.
