I've read that the "i" series has something to do with digital power? What exactly is it? And, also, is it worth it over the standard series?

Solution
The AXi Series has its voltage regulation performed by DSP (i.e. Digital Signal Processor) instead of by conventional analog components.

There is a USB cable that is connected from the PSU to a motherboard USB header so that you can create and use your own fan speed profiles and monitor the PSU's power input and output, efficiency, fan speed, and internal temperature through the Corsair Link Dashboard Windows application.

Only you can determine if those features are worth the extra money you have to pay for them.
