Hey Guys,

Just received my ASUS VG248QE, and there's a very weird pixel getting my head in..

At first I thought it was a stuck pixel, as its red when using a white background, however, when I put a black background it's not there..

Correct me if am wrong, but wouldnt a stuck pixel always be the same colour under white/black?

Under blue and green it shows up as black..

Any ideas what may be wrong and if it's possible to fix?

Sounds like a lazy or stuck pixel. Here's an article with plenty of good methods you may try. Good luck!

Depending on the manufacturer, there is a number of dead pixels they allow to be present before a return will be granted.

Likely it's a bad pixel cluster.

Sometimes gently massaging the area can work. Be gentle though.

The absolute best solution is to send it back as it is faulty and more problem pixels may arise in the future.

Sounds like the blue and green subpixels are completely dead and only the red one lights up when told to do so...
so white is red, black, green and blue are black. And any colour that has some red in it will show up as red with varying brightness.
