I got a haf 912 case and an ASRock Z77 Extreme4 ATX LGA1155 Motherboard but it says, "ASRock Z77 Extreme4 ATX LGA1155 Motherboard has an onboard USB 3.0 header, but the Cooler Master HAF 912 ATX Mid Tower Case does not have front panel USB 3.0 ports." Will it still work since I have seen many people's builds with those parts.

Yes. That is a warning. It is telling you that the motherboard supports a feature that your case does not. So you won't have front USB 3.0 ports. You can still use the ones on the back of the motherboard.

So will it still work? And don't many things like keyboards and mouses still use 2.0?

It's compatible but you will not have USB 3 ports on the front of the case. The front ports only support USB 2. The motherboard has a header for front USB 3 though so if you want that feature pick a different case.
