Bent AM3+ CPU pin safe to use now?

I realigned all bent pins on an AMD AM3+ CPU I have and I was wondering is it safe to try the CPU out and not worry about damaging my other components or motherboard?

I've heard of concerns about intel boards and chips after fixing pins but is it different for AMD since the pins are on the actual chip?

Thanks

It's possible to iron out the pins or replace them with similar sized pieces of metal actually.

I don't think it's damaging (It was already damaged!) and if you've spent a lot of time trying to fix it, you might

as well give it a shot. It's the poor mans way of repairing !

So it won't harm my motherboard or anything right?

Because I got this CPU off my friend and I only have one AM3+ motherboard available to test it on and I use the mobo, just making sure if the CPU ends up not working, will it affect my mobo or another components such as RAM or anything?

Give it a try, imagine something can go bad, but think I prob get about 1 or so AMD CPUs a month with bent pins, folks hold them to tight and a finger can slip over the, they don't line up right on install, very common....never hurt anything else and once straighten generally work fin, if one breaks off, another story
