Going from a 670 FTW to a SC 780, worth it?

I would then sell my 670 of course and at least get a few bones back.

Is that enough of a leap to make it worth it? I just bought a 1440p monitor and im having no major issues, but I always feel there is no such thing as too much power so to drive this monitor even more and down the road, would the Evga 780 SC card be a pretty good upgrade?

It is a very powerful card. You can see some benchmarks here. you can look at multiple games.

This one has the 670 to compare to, remember overclock cards will be closer, but you can get a 780 overclocked too :)

The choice is up to you, the numbers do not lie :) . If the performance is ok with the current card, I would most likely stay. Always something new around the corner.

The 670 could overclock close to the 680 too :)

Well, only thing is im just not an OCer. I been dealing with PCs since the late 80s and been building my whole life pretty much, but its just something I never dabbled in and I realize its fairly easy according to most folks, but I never rely on OCing at all really.

Does that change anyones mind overall?

I think the other thing I been debating is getting another 670, but the thing is I have the 2GB version. So would 2 of the 670 ftw 2GB cards be worth doing at this point?

I think that my ultimate goal would be see how the prices fare for the 780 and eventually grab a 2nd one if push comes to shove down the road.

the 2 cards in SLI would be faster as long as your games do not need more than the 2GB of memory.

Just remember 2 cards take more power and make more heat/noise.

Exactly, I mean not that im worried too terribly much about it. But I think what im looking at is upgrading to a 780 with the possible SLI of 780s down the road, better for my current situation?

I just built this machine, its a new haswell 4770k, and I just bought this 1440p monitor...so that's why im thinking if I should push out the 780. Just not sure yet.
