Hi, guys! I'm planning to build a new gaming computer and I need suggestions and recomendations before I order the parts! I'm planning to go on SLI on future, do you think my power supply will handle it? I'll also do virtualization a lot (because I'll start doing an MCITP Certification course and I'll need to practice with VMs). This is what I'm planning to buy:

Asus Maximus V Gene Motherboard
Ivy Bridge Core i7-3770K (3.5 GHz)
Gigabyte nVidia GTX 680
Corsair Vengeance Pro 16GB DDR3-1600 (2x8GB) (RAM)
CoolerMaster GX 750 Watts
Cooler Master CM690 II Plus (Case)
Cooler Master V6 Cooler
128 SSD
1TB HDD

looks like a fine build. HOWEVER, if you plan on running VMs a lot, buy 32GB of ram (4x8GB). it'll really help

also, if you're running lots of VMS at the same time, consider going x79 and getting an i7 3930x instead, the extra two cores will really help

Nice build. The only change , I would make is the Coolermaster CPU.

Nice catch and recommendation.

@OP yeah, cooler master makes decent CPU coolers and fans (decent, not the best), but pros will avoid their PSUs like the plague

Add the ram like vmem said and change the PSU and you have a sweet build.

Thanks fot the tip! I think I'll increase my ram. And did you mean 3930K instead of 3930x? If i get the 3930K means that I'll have to change the mobo because of the socket type!

Thnks! But do you think that 650 watts will handle SLI and probably overclocked CPU? I'm planning to go on SLI on future!

Yeah, I was already told to go for Seasonic or XFX Powersupplies. I think I'll have to change!

sorry I meant 3930k (somehow was thinking 'x'). anyway, yes it would be a different mobo and much more expensive overall. I would do this if you're running say 10 or more VMs at a time. otherwise the i7 3770k would handle a couple of VMs just fine. it's when you try to run more VMs than you have threads on your CPU that things can get a little slow/weird
