hello . so i own the sapphire 7970 vapor x ghz 3 gb 384 bit card but i am slightly dissapointed of its performances . Today i bought the evga gtx 770 2gb 256 bit card , and will be comparing the two . In a few days i want to play some games on a 3d samsung tv using TriDef3d , a program that creates 2 images sside by side (2x 1920x1080 in my case) and the tv will make it look 3d . I was told that for single monitor the 770 is better but for big rez or multiple monitor i neeg more gpu ram . So by playing in 3d i will practically have 2 images that is dual monitor :)
My question is , do i need more than gb of gpu ram for 2x 1920x1080 and if yes
should i go with the 4 gb gtx 680 BUT 256 bit or stick to the 3 gb 7970 384 bit ?

google Tridef3d .... and side by side (or top and bottom ) 3d with shutter glasses ..... like the for ex the movie file opened on a normal monitor is going to be 2 images side by side ALMOST identic , and i press the 3d button on my remote , and the tv is going to apply one on the other and the glasses are active shutter (with battery) and u get 3d .... so its no nvidia 3d involved. Tridef 3d just runs the game 2 times and puts the 2 full hd images side by side ant the TV makes the rest . so practically i will be runing 2 screens ... got it ?

um yeah sure... that's honestly the cheap way of doing 3D... with proper drivers from Nvidia your GPU will actually render you two separate images for each of your eyes and shutter it properly... ask around, people will tell you Nvidia 3D vision is smoother

that aside, if you're doing the 3D this way, VRAM won't make a difference compared to regular gaming.
