I have a lower end card but it gets the job done on low settings (upgrading soon). on youtube i see everyone else running this card on much more detailed games with lower frame rates but higher settings and but when i try it, same settings, i seem to have many more frame rate problems.

The game im most upset about is the beta for company of heroes 2. everything is down and i am still getting an average frame rate of about 8.65.

My main question is, is my other hardware pulling down my gaming performance or is it just my GPU

My bios update says it is 2010. but honestly do you think it is that much of a frame drop
Processor: AMD Athlon II x2 3.20 GHz
Ram: 4GB DDR3
GPU: GeoForce 520
Monitor: HP s2031 1600 x 900
Windows 7 64 bit

*****side note. i am running off of steam, and my hard drive has about 80 GB of free space. not an SSD. and i already defragmented it.

I dont think I am quite understanding what DRAM is. I have 2gb of vram and 4gb of ddr3 ram.

DRAM is your DDR3, as I mentioned I'm guessing it 1066 or maybe 1333 for the freq and depending on the game(s) faster DRAM can help, but that's what your CPU is pretty much limited to and not sure what exact CPU (there are a number of Athlon X2s i.e. the Regor x2 260 comes to mind

an athlon x2 260 comes with a 3.2ghz clock speed.first of all gt520 is not meant for gaming but still u can play light games with that and the modern games with very low settings, don't expect to run games likenfs the run,skyrim,bf3 on high settings;what u can do to get the best of of it is by overclocking ur cpu, frame rates will increase a bit ~4 fps but don;t expect to run modern games at high settings....

Can everyone stick to the task at hand. And not get so worked up about how many mhz it has.
