Is Intel Socket 2011 going to remain the fastest for some time?

I'm debating whether to upgrade my current Intel system to the speedier 3930 cpu socket 2011. Now that Haswell has been released and no word on a new "high end" socket, do you think socket 2011 will remain the fastest for about the next year? Anybody know what Intel's plans are with regarding a speedy socket? I would hate to buy some expensive pc parts to upgrade the system this month just to have Intel release a faster socket in the near future and then watch prices fall.

Thanks all for the help!

Haswell E will use socket LGA 2011-3 and will not be backward compatible with LGA 2011. But for life of Ivybridge E, socket LGA 2011 will be Intel's highest end platform. I think the change has to do with DDR4 compatibility.
