Hi guys

Please please I need help cause I am going out of my mind.

I have the following PC

Intel i7 3960x CPU
12 GB triple channel RAM at 1866 Mhz
gigabyte x79 ud3 MB
saphhire radeon 7870 Ghz edition GPU
Intel WaterCooling unit
700 Huntkey PSU

No components have been overclocked. CPU temp never exceeds 55 degrees celcius.

Graphics card max temp: 67 degrees

Running XMP (extreme memory profile)

The problem is, my damn computer keeps on restarting when playing games (Crysis 3, Farcry 3, Tomb Raider) with no blue screen. Windows reliability history only says that the computer shut down unexpectedly.

Disabling XMP does not help. Using a different PSU doesnt help. When I run a stress test no restart happen. I ran "Folding at home" at 100% for 24 hours with no problem. Memory test comes up clean.

I'm going to loose it.

Has anyone have any advise for me?

Thank you so much

Hi there, temps seem fine for the hardware you have. Could be the PSU. Specially because there's no BSOD. Maybe try another and see if that makes a difference. Quickly searching on the net, seems like Huntkey is not a PSU brand, anyone in the know would recommend. I'm not a PSU expert, but most guys here recommend Seasonic, Corsair 80+ certified units in the 500-600w range. Maybe something like a 700w version might be your solution.
