Basically i really like the asus fan xpert program (it works for me - i know some people have problems). And i am getting very sick of corsairs "link 2" program as im usre many h100i ussers are aware of.

So instead of plugging the two h100i fans into the corsair block (which goes over the cpu) i was thinking i could just plug the two onto the motherboard and control them in my asus fan xpert software?

Is this ok, and will the h100i pump still function properly without the corsair link2 software aswell as the fans not been pluged into the block?

i dont see why there would be a problem but i thought i would be ultra sure

cheers guys

You could link the fans up to the motherboard, but it's much better to hook them directly to the power supply with a 7v speed reducer cable. As for the pump, that will work fine. The cable for the pump is to trick the BIOS that it thinks it's a cpu fan and don't shut your computer down.

right sounds good to me,

just did a gaming test and it runs fine - was sitting at about 45 degrees whilst playing planetside2 on ultra with the fans going at about 65-75%

So as long as the pump is still going then i will continue using this setup so i dont have to use that buggy ass piece of software which is link 2 ahaha

thanks
