The card readers usually get hooked up to your USB ports so the speed would be about the same. You may want to post what the problems are, pretty hard to give advice with no idea what the issue is.

I tryed putting 8000 audio file on my phone after putting 64gb SD card in my android phone and m wondering if using a card reader would work faster or better (if I put SD card in reader then put 8000 files in card then put card in phone) because I. Plug USB in my camp then tryed putting music files in my SD card it took 14 hours and still wasn't even 30% done I canceled it and now waiting

So it's working, just slow. 8000 music files which I'm guessing are about 3-4mb each (assuming average quality and mp3 format) for each file is a lot of data. If you are seeing progress just let it run. Using a card reader MAY be faster but like I said, those are also connected though your USB ports to transfer rate will be about the same either way.
